Scene analysis
made simple
Upload your sides and work the scene with a coach that actually reads your script. Objectives, subtext, character choices. Available whenever you are.
I'm stuck on this scene. He's apologising but it doesn't feel genuine. How do I play that?
Look at what he says right after: "Can we just move on?" He's not apologising. He's trying to end the conversation. His objective is to regain control, not to make things right. Try playing the apology as a tactic, not an emotion.
That changes everything. So when she says "I don't believe you" she's calling out the tactic?
Exactly. She sees through it. And that's what raises the stakes. Now he has to decide: does he double down or does he actually let himself be vulnerable? That's the turning point of the scene.
Work the scene before you walk in
Talk through the scene, test ideas, and build choices you believe in. Your coach works from your actual script so every insight is specific to your character and your text.
Start coachingWork the scene, not just the lines
Most actors memorize the words and hope for the best. A coach asks the questions that turn a line reading into a performance. What do you want, what's in the way, what happens if you fail?

Find what's underneath
Great acting lives in subtext. Your coach helps you discover what your character really thinks versus what they actually say. That gap is what makes performances feel alive.

Make choices you can defend
"Why did you play it that way?" A good coach prepares you for this question. Every choice grounded in the text, every instinct backed by the scene.

Get unstuck
Hitting a wall with a scene? Sometimes you need a second pair of eyes. Your coach offers new angles: a different objective, an unexpected relationship dynamic, a physical choice you hadn't considered.

Objectives and obstacles

Subtext and given circumstances
- Explore the world of the scene. Time, place, history, and everything that's left unsaid.
Line actioning
- Assign transitive verbs to your lines. Walk in knowing exactly what you're doing on each beat.
Bold choices
- Find the hook. The contradiction, the physicality, the moment before. Safe doesn't book.

Your questions, answered
Feel free to contact us with your ideas or questions!
How does the acting coach work?
Upload your script and start a conversation about the scene. Your coach asks questions, challenges your choices, and offers perspectives to push your thinking. You drive the performance. The coach helps you find it.
Will it tell me how to play the scene?
No. A good coach doesn't give you line readings. It guides you through the process: objectives, subtext, relationships, actioning. It helps you discover your own choices. The performance is always yours.
Is this the same as the prep feature?
The acting coach powers the prep experience and more. Think of it as your ongoing coaching partner. Use it for quick audition prep, deep scene study, character development, or just working through a tricky moment in a scene.
Does it understand my specific script?
Yes. The coach reads your uploaded sides and references specific scenes, lines, and characters. Everything is grounded in your actual text, not generic advice.
Can I use it for theatre, film, and TV?
Yes. Whether you're prepping for stage, screen, or a self-tape, the coaching adapts. It understands the differences between mediums and adjusts accordingly.
What if I disagree with the coach?
Good. That means you're making choices. Push back, explain your instinct, ask for alternatives. The best work happens when you know exactly why you're making each choice.
Can I use it for monologues?
Yes. Upload a monologue and work through it the same way. Objectives, beats, shifts, choices. Monologues need coaching just as much as scenes.
How much does it cost?
You can start for free. Extended coaching sessions are available through a one-time credit top-up. No subscription required. You only pay for what you use.
Can I use it during rehearsals?
Yes. Use it before, during, or between rehearsals. Upload your scene, work through a specific moment, and come back anytime to pick up where you left off.
Ready to work your next scene?
